If your credit card or debit card is smart-chip enabled, this card reader can authenticate your identity to make Internet shopping safer and easier. It can also authenticate your workplace or government ID access card, including the Common Access Card.
The card reader can also read your mobile phone’s SIM card, so that you can export stored phone numbers and text messages into CSV files, and import new phone numbers.
