Nuance TALKS runs on Symbian-powered mobile phones to speech-enable contact names, callerID, text messages, help files and other screen content.
Running on Symbian™ Series 60 phones, Nuance TALKS converts the displayed text on
the mobile handset into highly intelligible speech. With Nuance TALKS, blind and
low-vision users can take advantage of most features, including contact directories,
caller ID, text messages, help files, access to the Nokia web browser, and other
screen content, available on their mobile phones.
NEW! TALKS&ZOOMS now fully support the Nokia web browser for S60 3rd Edition, with
virtual browsing, and quick keys to find certain web elements fast, like headings
or links.
NEW! Nuance now offers a completely new text-to-speech technology, called Vocalizer
for Mobile. All TALKS users, who have purchased a license for RealSpeak Mobile, can
use the respective Vocalizer for Mobile voices free of charge!

Wayfinder Access
A new extension package for TALKS that offers the visually impaired full navigation
capabilities on their handset.
Based on the well-known Navigator software from Wayfinder, this package powered by
TALKS enables visually impaired to become more mobile by providing them better access
their surroundings. Optimized for mobile phones, it was developed with the help of
a reference group of visually impaired.
Key Features
With the new 'vicinity view' users will be able to know what they have around them.
They will know what favorites, points of interests (POIs) and crossings are close
to them and in which direction they are heading. The information is listed in the
order of proximity.
Access to millions of POIs - Wayfinder Access helps you find and select locations
from a database of millions of points of interest. These include hotels, banks, restaurants,
theatres, bars, shops, nightlife, hospitals and much more. Once the POI is selected,
door-to-door route guidance is generated.
Wayfinder Access also introduces a "where am I" function, a highly requested feature.
By Simple pressing the pen button, Wayfinder Access will read to you your current
location, with the name of the street name you are on.
Wayfinder's award winning and cutting edge Navigator is tightly integrated with
Nuance's screen reader TALKS. This means that all meaningful navigation information
is read back to the user as specified by the TALKS settings.
Map coverage - All Wayfinder Navigator subscriptions include unlimited updates of
our first-class TeleAtlas maps. Wayfinder and TeleAtlas provide full or partial map
coverage in the following countries: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, Lichtenstein,
Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Slovakia, Czech Republic,
